Relationship between fine-scale community structure and processes and regional ecosystem dynamics.
Data usage:
I will use eddy-flux and vegetation data from a number of flux sites in the eastern US to constrain the linked ecosystem/atmosphere model ED2/RAMS. This model will then be used to forecast the long-term respose of the eastern us to various climate change and land use scenerios and to produce short-term forecasts of ecosystem services conditioned on seasonal climate forecasts.
