Grants:

"Interactions between Water, Energy and Carbon Dynamics as Predictors of Canopy to Ecosystem Scale Vegetation Pattern and Function in a Changing Environment", NSF, $1,650,000, 2008 - 2012

Description:

Questions addressed:

Generally, we will be studying the coupling of ecosystem water, carbon, energy and nutrient cycles in the context of optimality hypotheses regarding ecosystem resource use.

data usage:

We are modeling plant-root-soil interactions and so are interested in data regarding co2 and energy fluxes between the canopy and atmosphere. We would also be interested in data regarding soil moisture and temperature states, and nutrient availability as well.

Status:

Ongoing
